Suspect, identified as a Frenchman in his 20s, was arrested shortly after slaying, authorities say
PARIS—A German tourist was stabbed to death on Saturday evening a few hundred yards from the Eiffel Tower in a suspected terrorist attack, a blow to authorities on high alert because of the Israel-Hamas war.
The suspect, identified as a Frenchman in his 20s, was arrested shortly after the slaying, said Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin. France’s counterterrorism prosecutor opened an investigation.
